This guide will outlane many of the options/configurations inside Database Manager for PinballX (DBM for PBX). DBM is free software that can be used to maintain your digital pinball front PinballX and designed for digital pinballcabinets and desktops.
This software is designed for the use of PinballX, we also managed to get it work on GameEx’s Touch Play and the PinballX legacy edition.
Before you embark on installing DBM (I cannot stress this enough), you MUST have your PinballX software working 100%.
This software is a replacement of PinballX’s Game List manager. It is faster, has a lot of extra options and user friendly interface.
DBM will not magically fix any issues you have with loading tables in any emulator. In fact if you are having any issues in PBX, make sure you try to load the table outside PBX via the emulator first.
The intention of this software is to make adding/renew your tables and media is an easy way. This software is not open source, but it is free to use and you should never pay for it.
Any questions can be requested to both of the author of the programs via the support page:

For quick support, please describe your issue correctly, add the database manager config file and the database manager log file to your support post.
The authors are Scutters and Mike DA Spike. Any version you have that are not from one of the authors could contain malware!
Note: As mentioned before, this software is a replacement for Game List Manager that is provided with PinballX. As Game List Manager stores less data in the XML, it is not recommended to use Game List manager after the use database manager as some values will be removed after saving in Game List Manager.
